Start preparing for 2028 Olympics now – Matete

Zambian athletics icon Samuel Matete has urged the nation to immediately begin preparations for the upcoming 2028 Summer Olympic Games and the 2030 Commonwealth Games. The call to action follows what he described as a poor performance by Zambian athletes at the recent Games in Glasgow.

The 2028 Summer Olympics are scheduled to be hosted in Los Angeles, United States, while the 2030 Commonwealth Games are slated to take place in Ahmedabad, India. Matete's intervention emphasizes the necessity of early and structured planning to improve future international sporting outcomes for Zambia.
