A cash register, money from a tip jar and some drinks were stolen early Monday during a burglary at a dollar store in Fort Lauderdale, the owner of the business told Local 10 News.According to Fort Lauderdale police, the burglary was reported at about 4:15 a.m. at the business in the 3600 block of Davie Boulevard.The Dollar Stop owner said the thief or thieves smashed the glass front door before making their way inside. Police said officers established a perimeter and detained a person of interest for questioning.No arrests have been made at this time.Police said the investigation remains ongoing.Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Fort Lauderdale Police Department or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.

Coast Guard in Marathon are continuing efforts to locate him.Anyone with information about Southwick’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Coast Guard Sector Key West. After a warm and humid start to the day with the chance for an isolated shower through the morning, temperatures will quickly heat into the lower 90s with a mix of sun and clouds. Feels like temperatures will range between 100 to 105° early Monday afternoon.
Storms are forecast to develop by mid-afternoon, and with a south-southwest wind, storms will remain along the east coast metro into the early evening. Slow moving storms that develop could produce frequent lightning, gusty winds, heavy rain, and localized street flooding.
