Stoughton police chief sues town in weeks-long dispute over her position

Stoughton Police Chief Donna McNamara filed a lawsuit against the Town of Stoughton and Town Manager Thomas Calter on Monday amid a weeks-long fight over her position at the police department.The suit, filed in Norfolk County Superior Court, alleges that town officials have violated McNamara’s employment contract by “prohibiting Chief McNamara from doing her duties even though, to date, they have provided no lawful reason to do so.”
