Sudan’s RSF vows to return to Khartoum

The leader of Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemedti, has issued a directive to his troops to seize control of the capital city, Khartoum. In a recently released video, Hemedti addressed his forces, explicitly vowing to return to the city to secure military objectives.

This declaration marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between the RSF and the Sudanese military. By publicly ordering his forces to capture Khartoum, Hemedti has signaled a renewed commitment to expanding the paramilitary group's territorial influence within the capital, which has been a central theater of the fighting since the outbreak of hostilities.
