A 30-year-old Sudanese man has been arrested after entering the tracks of the Athens Metro, prompting a temporary suspension of train services, Greek police said. According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), the incident occurred at approximately 3:30pm on Friday, July 24, when the Emergency Response Centre received reports that a man had climbed down from the platform onto the tracks at Agia Paraskevi Metro Station. The man then began walking through the metro tunnels towards Halandri, forcing authorities to suspend rail services while officers responded.
