Sueldo mínimo: CUT niega que el aumento en dos tramos haya sido acordado en el Consejo Nacional de Trabajo

The Peruvian government has officially announced an increase in the national minimum wage to S/1,300, to be implemented in two stages. This decision has triggered a formal dispute with the Central Unitaria de Trabajadores del Perú (CUT), one of the country's primary labor organizations.

César Bazán, president of the CUT, has publicly denied that the two-stage implementation plan was reached through a consensus within the National Labor Council. The disagreement highlights a rift between the government's official policy and the expectations of labor representatives regarding the negotiation process for wage adjustments.
