Authorities in Nepal have recovered 162 bodies following a massive flash flood in the Himalayas that struck near the border with China. The fatalities are concentrated primarily in the districts of Chitwan, where 64 bodies were found, along with 27 in Dhading and 26 in Nawalparasi Este.

In addition to the confirmed fatalities, rescue and recovery operations are ongoing as more than 500 individuals remain unaccounted for following the disaster. The severe flooding has caused widespread devastation across the affected regions.
