Supreme Court shunts out 2 coal scam judges on unusual Delhi high court request

The Supreme Court of India has replaced two special judges presiding over coal scam cases in the Delhi High Court. The reallocation followed an unusual request from the Delhi High Court to transfer the judges so they could be assigned other judicial responsibilities.

Judges Sunena Sharma and Dheeraj Mor, who had served for varying durations on the coal scam trials, were moved as part of this administrative reshuffle. They will be succeeded by incoming judges Virender Kumar Kharta and Ajay Garg, who are now set to preside over the proceedings.
