A South Florida man was arrested after allegedly attacking a man who had been working on his pool. The incident in question occurred on Aug. 20 at a home that’s currently under construction in Miami.

According to police, Tennier Taylor, 42, hired someone to build him a pool at the home, which is located in the city’s Belle Meade neighborhood. On the date in question, police said Taylor arrived and told the victim that he was not satisfied with the job before proceeding to pick up a hammer and began destroying the work, according to authorities. The victim attempted to explain to the defendant that he could fix the issue, police said, but then Taylor became angry and struck the victim in the chest area with the hammer, according to an arrest form.

Police said Taylor also threw a hammer at the victim, which he blocked, and hit him in the back with a wooden stick. After several months of investigating, authorities said the victim was able to pick Taylor out of a photo lineup, leading to Sunday’s arrest. According to his arrest form, Taylor told police that he was dissatisfied with the quality of the work and asked the victim to either redo the work or leave, claiming that the two argued but that there was no physical altercation.

Taylor is facing a felony charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. As of Monday afternoon, he was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with bond listed as “to be set.” .l10-neighborhood, .l10-neighborhood * { box-sizing: border-box; } .l10-neighborhood{ --blue-dark:#0d2c73; --blue:#1f57c4; --blue-light:#3370e6; --gray-bg:#f2f3f5; --gray-border:#d6d8dc; --text-dark:#1a1a1a; --white:#ffffff; font-family:system-ui,-apple-system,"Segoe UI",Roboto,Arial,sans-serif; max-width:860px; margin:1.5rem auto; border-radius:10px; overflow:hidden; border:1px solid var(--gray-border); background:var(--gray-bg); box-shadow:0 4px 14px rgba(0,0,0,.12); text-align:center; } .l10-head{ background:linear-gradient(90deg,var(--blue-dark),var(--blue)); color:var(--white); padding:12px 16px; font-weight:800; text-transform:uppercase; font-size:1rem; letter-spacing:.3px; display:flex; justify-content:center; align-items:center; gap:8px; } .l10-body{ max-width:740px; margin:0 auto; padding:0 16px 18px; } .l10-sub{ margin:12px 0 10px; font-size:.95rem; color:var(--text-dark); font-weight:500; text-align:center; } .l10-grid{ displ… First responders rushed to the South Florida office of Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Monday afternoon.An initial call was made to authorities regarding a suspicious white power found in an envelope.Wasserman Schultz’s office is located in Sunrise, east of the Sawgrass Expressway and south of Sunrise Boulevard.
