Syria continues to normalize with international business fair as credit card payments are back

Syria is continuing its normalization with the international community through an international business fair that drew participation from more than 60 countries. Key regional allies, including Saudi Arabia and Iraq, were among the nations in attendance at the event.

Alongside the business fair, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa confirmed that credit card payment systems have been restored in the country. The return of credit card services marks a practical step forward in re-establishing Syria's financial connectivity and commercial integration.
