Taiwan must ‘bear the consequences’ of water cannon incident, China says

China has warned Taiwan that it must bear the consequences following an incident where the Taiwanese Coast Guard deployed a water cannon against a Chinese fishing vessel. The confrontation took place near the Pratas Islands.

The use of the water cannon was triggered after the Chinese fishing boat failed to heed warnings and refused to avoid restricted waters in the area.
