Tanzania steps up exercise to compensate Kagera War veterans

Prime Minister Mwigulu Nchemba has announced that the Tanzanian government will begin compensating veterans of the 1978–79 Kagera War within the current financial year. The government is currently finalizing the remaining administrative steps required to facilitate these payments.
