Taylor Farms recalls jalapeño products in 26 states over salmonella contamination concerns

Taylor Farms is voluntarily recalling more than a dozen jalapeño products sold at large retailers across 26 U.S. states. The recall was initiated due to concerns over potential salmonella contamination linked to fresh jalapeño peppers involved in a potential multi-state outbreak.

Salmonella is a type of bacteria capable of causing foodborne illness. In addition to the current jalapeño-related salmonella concerns, the company has previously been associated with a cyclosporiasis outbreak involving lettuce.
