Truckers warn of illegal checkpoints and violence by authorities in Veracruz

Transportistas in Veracruz have reported a rise in illegal checkpoints and violence perpetrated by authorities. The state currently ranks fifth nationally for violence against cargo transport, with recent incidents including the theft of two vehicles near Las Vigas and the road to Tehuacán, as well as the murder of a vehicle operator.
