The PSOE demands Feijóo take responsibility to "stop" attacks on migrants in Ceuta

Political representatives in Ceuta have issued a joint declaration condemning recent violence and calling for peaceful protest following a surge in tensions related to the arrival of migrants in late July. The assembly members, including non-attached deputies, have urged the Spanish government to take immediate action to restore order in the city. Concurrently, government ministers and the opposition have issued calls for calm, emphasizing that violence is not an acceptable response to the situation.

At the national level, the PSOE has formally requested that PP leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo take responsibility to help de-escalate the violence directed at migrants remaining in the city. Meanwhile, police unions have requested additional reinforcements to manage the ongoing instability in Ceuta as government officials continue to issue forceful appeals for non-violence.
