NewzKINGSTON, Jamaica — The Island Traffic Authority (ITA) is advising the public that a service disruption, resulting from damaged fibre infrastructure, has temporarily affected access to its Fitness Management System (FMS). According to the ITA, in a press release on Tuesday, this has impacted the processing of Electronic Certificates of Fitness (eFitness) at all ITA Service Hubs. However, the ITA said individuals whose eFitness certificates have already been processed can continue to access their certificates through the Certificate Generation and Distribution System (CGDS).
The ITA regrets any inconvenience caused and assures the public that efforts are underway to resolve the issue and restore full service within 24 hours. In the meantime, the ITA has said it notified the Court Administration Division (CAD) and the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) of the service disruption. “The authority appreciates the patience and understanding of the public as we work assiduously to fully restore the service.
Further updates will be provided once the issue has been resolved,” the ITA said.
