Earthquake in Colombia: An Argentinian restaurant in Cali collects, cooks, and distributes food to help victims and rescue workers

Following a 7.4-magnitude earthquake in Colombia that resulted in at least 240 deaths, regional and local mobilization efforts have emerged to aid victims, refugees, and rescue workers. In the San Antonio neighborhood of Cali, an Argentine restaurant has transformed into a humanitarian hub, collecting, preparing, and distributing food rations to support those affected by the disaster and the personnel assisting them.

At the diplomatic level, the Mercosur bloc issued a statement expressing solidarity with Colombia and offering its readiness to assist in ongoing rescue, relief, and reconstruction operations following the widespread destruction caused by the tremor.
