Tesla, other automakers recall record 4.3 million vehicles in China

Tesla and eight other automakers have initiated a record-breaking recall of approximately 4.3 million vehicles in China. The action was prompted by safety concerns regarding vehicle doors, which may be difficult to open during an emergency situation. The recall process is scheduled to begin on September 25.

Tesla accounts for the largest portion of the recall, involving 2.98 million imported and domestically produced Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X vehicles. The remaining volume of the recall is distributed among eight other manufacturers operating within the Chinese market.
