The driveway didn’t meet council rules. Nine new homes were approved anyway

Auckland Council has approved a nine-home housing development in Sunnyvale despite an internal assessment revealing that the existing access driveway falls short of several council rules and requirements.

The approval went forward despite the acknowledged deficiencies in the driveway's compliance with established municipal standards for the development.
