The extraordinary discoveries emerging from the ruins of Juukan Gorge

Archaeologists have uncovered a significant collection of artifacts within the Juukan Gorge, located in the arid soil of the site. The discovery follows the 2020 destruction of an ancient rock shelter at the location, which was caused by a blasting operation conducted by the mining company Rio Tinto.
