The Fall of Tripolitsa: How 23 September 1821 Changed the Greek War of Independence

On 23 September 1821, Greek revolutionary forces successfully captured Tripolitsa, the administrative capital of the Ottoman Empire in the Peloponnese. This event followed a prolonged siege and resulted in the collapse of Ottoman control within the region, known as the Morea.
