The paper DOC hut ticket is on its way out

The Department of Conservation (DOC) in New Zealand is phasing out traditional paper hut tickets in favor of a digital system. Beginning November 1, trampers will be able to purchase Backcountry Hut Tickets digitally.

Alongside this ticketing change, DOC is expanding its online infrastructure by placing a greater number of huts and campsites onto its digital booking and management platforms.
