Veteran stage and screen actor Ray Reinhardt, long associated with San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater (ACT), has died at the age of 96. Reinhardt, whose career spanned decades in theater, television and film, died Aug. 5 at his Oakland home, according to reports citing his longtime partner, Lois Hansen.

He became one of the most recognizable performers in ACT’s repertory system and remained active in the entertainment industry well into his later years. The San Francisco Chronicle reported.
