The search dog helping find bodies buried by Nepal’s floods

Samba, a Labrador trained in human remains detection, is assisting rescue operations in the Rasuwa district of Nepal following recent devastating floods. The canine has successfully located approximately 20 bodies buried beneath thick layers of mud and debris caused by the disaster.

This specialized search effort highlights the critical role of trained animals in disaster recovery missions where terrain is difficult to navigate. Samba’s contributions have been instrumental in the ongoing recovery process as authorities work to locate victims in the aftermath of the flooding.
