They escaped the 2015 earthquake. They couldn’t escape the Bhotekoshi flood

Dozens of earthquake-affected families residing in Rasuwa and Nuwakot, who had previously survived the 2015 earthquake, have been swept away by a catastrophic flood in the Bhotekoshi River.

The disaster followed years of unfulfilled government promises to relocate these vulnerable families to safer ground.
