(Facebook pic)MELAKA: A third relief centre has been opened in Melaka to accommodate an increasing number of flood victims.The state disaster management committee said the number of flood victims has increased to 123 people in the Melaka Tengah and Jasin districts. The victims are from 17 affected areas in the district, including Kampung Lereh, Peringgit, Kampung Bachang, Tengkera, Bukit Rambai and Tanjung Kling, while three areas in Jasin are affected, namely Kampung Pulai, Kampung Serkam and Kampung Bukit Tembakau.In Tawau, Sabah, a total of 335 victims from 96 families affected by floods in several areas in Tawau have been placed at a relief centre.
"All the victims are residents from four villages affected by the floods," the state disaster management committee said.Continuous rain since last night caused Tawau and its surrounding areas to be hit by floods.
