Timelapse of partial solar eclipse seen from Royal Observatory Greenwich

A partial solar eclipse occurred in Britain, drawing crowds to parks and open spaces to observe the event. The phenomenon, which was the most significant of its kind in the country since 1999, resulted in more than 90% of the Sun being obscured in certain regions.

At the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, a timelapse captured the progression of the eclipse. In London, the event caused the sky to shift to an eerie grey hue as the Moon partially covered the Sun, leaving only a sliver of sunlight visible.
