Tornado sirens inadvertently set off during overnight test in DuPage County

Residents in DuPage County, Illinois, were startled awake overnight when tornado sirens were inadvertently activated during a system test.

According to officials from the Village of Downers Grove, the accidental activation was performed by DuComm while conducting a test of the emergency warning infrastructure.
