NewzA special 5K was held on Sunday morning at Tropical Park in Miami. The Miami Joy Project hosted Superhero Miles, an event where runners dressed up as their favorite superheroes. Organizers said the event was to support children with special needs and medically complex conditions.
Participants were able to collect superhero costume pieces along the 5K path, with capes, masks, gloves and other items helping to transform the runners into costumed heroes. A crash on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade County caused a traffic mess on Sunday morning.It was located in the northbound express lanes of I-95 near the exit for northwest 25th Street in North Miami, officials said. According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, several vehicles were involved in the crash. Two people were rushed to nearby trauma facilities for treatment, rescue officials said.
There has been no word on what caused the crash.
