Following the powerful earthquake in Colombia, First Lady Ana Lucía Pineda announced humanitarian aid collection points: “One heart”

Following a magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck Colombia on the morning of Monday, August 10, 2026, and heavily impacted regions including Chocó and Valle, national authorities and private entities have launched coordinated relief efforts. President Abelardo de la Espriella addressed the public from the Unified Command Post (PMU) of the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management, while First Lady Ana Lucía Pineda announced humanitarian aid collection points under the initiative “Un solo corazón.”

In response to the disaster, various organizations and public figures have mobilized assistance for priority areas. The Spanish financial institution BBVA allocated 3.500 food and hygiene kits for affected populations. Additionally, urban music artist Karol G announced through social media that her Con Cora foundation will provide aid to victims, emphasizing national unity in the aftermath of the severe seismic event.
