Three pillars to support the Punta Cana aqueduct

The Integral Aqueduct, Sanitation, and Reuse Program for Verón-Punta Cana involves a 400 million dollar financing package from the Inter-American Development Bank (BID). This initiative is positioned as one of the most ambitious water infrastructure investments in the eastern region of the Dominican Republic.

Despite the significant financial backing, analysts emphasize that funding alone does not guarantee the long-term success of the project, pointing to structural requirements necessary to sustain the aqueduct infrastructure over time.
