Tribunal autoriza al Fonper a adelantar pagos a trabajadores Falcondo

The Tribunal for the Restructuring and Liquidation of Companies and Physical Merchants in Santiago has authorized the Fondo Patrimonial de las Empresas Reformadas (Fonper) to establish a mechanism for advancing pending labor payments to workers of Falconbridge Dominicana (Falcondo). This judicial authorization provides a legal pathway for addressing outstanding financial obligations owed to the company's employees.

In a parallel development, the Executive Branch issued Decree 671-2, which formally authorizes the payment of labor benefits to redundant and retired Falcondo workers through Fonper. Together, the judicial ruling and the executive decree facilitate the disbursement of funds intended to resolve long-standing labor liabilities associated with the mining entity.
