Constitutional Court validates use of polygraph in the police

The Dominican Republic's Constitutional Tribunal has upheld the legality of polygraph testing within the National Police force. The ruling confirms that the provisions outlined in the Organic Law of the National Police (590-16) are constitutional, allowing the institution to utilize lie detector tests to evaluate the psychophysical capacity of its agents.

Under this validated framework, police officers are required to submit to the examinations.
