After losing the lawsuit over the expropriation of YPF in the US, Burford is now appealing to the World Bank's arbitration tribunal.

The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), an arm of the World Bank, has initiated an arbitration process regarding the 2012 nationalization of the Argentine oil company YPF. The proceedings were launched following a formal request submitted by the British firm Burford Capital.
