Troops rescue 49 Kano travellers from suspected kidnappers in Zamfara

Troops belonging to Operation Fansan Yamma successfully rescued 49 travellers from Kano State in Zamfara State following a suspected kidnapping attempt. The individuals were returning to Nigeria from Senegal after attending a Maulud religious programme.

The incident occurred when the victims' transport vehicle developed a mechanical fault along the route, leaving them stranded and vulnerable to the armed attack before military intervention secured their release.
