Trujillo: Businessman Jenss Lara does not recognize the detainees presented by the government as his kidnappers and perpetrators of the massacre

Mining entrepreneur Jenss Marty Lara Tantaquilla was abducted in the early hours of Sunday, August 30, in Trujillo, Peru, following an armed attack on his vehicle that resulted in the deaths of four of his companions. Lara was subsequently released after being held captive throughout the weekend.

Following the incident, the government presented several detainees as the individuals responsible for the kidnapping and the associated massacre. However, Lara has stated that he does not recognize these detainees as his captors. The Peruvian National Police (PNP) is currently investigating the case, including the possibility that there was a plan to assassinate the businessman despite the payment of a ransom.
