Trump administration moves to impose more than $100,000 fee for H-1B worker visas

The administration of United States President Donald Trump moved on Monday to propose a new regulation that would impose a fee of more than $100,000 on employers hiring foreign workers through the H-1B skilled worker visa program. Specifically, the proposed fee is set at $103,265.

This new regulatory action follows a previous legal setback, as an earlier effort to implement the unprecedented fee was temporarily blocked by the courts. The administration is now attempting to formally codify the measure.
