Trump envoy kept financial ties to firm behind $15 billion Hormuz-bypass oil pipeline plan

Tom Barrack, serving as the United States presidential special envoy to Iraq and Syria as well as Ambassador to Turkey, maintained longstanding financial ties to TI Capital and its founder, Ziad Ghandour.

TI Capital is the firm behind a $15 billion project to construct an oil pipeline designed to bypass the Strait of Hormuz.
