Trump signs stopgap funding bill into law, temporarily avoiding shutdown

President Trump signed a stopgap government funding bill into law on Wednesday, temporarily averting a federal government shutdown and extending funding until at least Dec. 11.

The legislation, titled the “Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2027,” was passed by Congress to ensure the continued operation of federal agencies through November's legislative period.
