In a related municipal readiness effort within the Lima metropolitan area, the commercial emporium of Gamarra in La Victoria has also evaluated its emergency preparedness. The bustling economic hub, which daily attracts between 300,000 and 400,000 visitors during lower-activity periods, faces significant challenges in executing rapid responses during seismic events and emergencies.
