Turkish national charged by US for funding Hamas using sham humanitarian charity

The United States Department of Justice has charged a Turkish national, Mohammad Yousef Hasna, with providing financial support and commodities to Hamas. According to federal authorities, Hasna allegedly operated a sham humanitarian charity as a front to funnel resources to the organization.

Prosecutors state that Hasna worked in close coordination with senior Hamas figures, including Ghazi Hamad. The charges center on allegations that the defendant utilized his position to facilitate the movement of funds and materials to the group, which is designated as a terrorist organization by the United States.
