Two dead after Australian-owned helicopters collide while fighting wildfires near Athens

On Sunday, two firefighting helicopters collided in mid-air while battling a major wildfire in the Psatha area of western Attica, west of Athens. The crash resulted in the deaths of two crew members.

The aircraft involved in the collision were owned by McDermott Aviation, an Australian company, and were operating in support of firefighting efforts against the blaze.
