Two suspects surrender to Homicide Unit over brutal death of late George Maino

Two suspects have surrendered to the Homicide Unit in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, in connection with the death of 25-year-old George Maino. The individuals were taken into custody following a three-week period of negotiations and community engagement efforts led by law enforcement.

Assistant Commissioner of Police for NCD and Central, Commander Benjamin Turi, confirmed the surrender. The development marks a resolution to the initial phase of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Maino’s death.
