U2 goes back to school to put on a show where it all began 50 years ago

Irish rock band U2 returned to their roots on Friday, performing a surprise seven-song set for hundreds of students in the schoolyard of Mount Temple Comprehensive School where the group originally formed 50 years ago. The impromptu performance served as a class in rock and roll for the student body and included an encore of their hit song "With or Without You."

The event marked a half-century milestone for the band, bringing them back to the exact location of their formation to celebrate their enduring legacy with a live, on-site performance for the current generation of students.
