Ukraine fired more than 400 drones toward Moscow in its latest major attack on the Russian capital on July 20. The blitz came hours after Russia bombarded Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities with ballistic missiles in a relentless cycle of tit-for-tat strikes. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that over 400 Ukrainian drones were sent toward the Russian capital from late on July 19, until early on July 20

Ukraine's latest attack follows a weekend of escalating exchanges between the two sides, with Russia targeting Kyiv with ballistic missiles on Sunday and Ukraine hitting warehouses outside of Moscow on Saturday. A fresh Ukrainian drone attack on the Moscow region Monday night wounded at least 10 people, including a child, Russian authorities said, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky saying the strikes had targeted an oil depot and "logistics facilities".
