Greenpeace calls on political parties to act "with the common interest in mind" in the face of the fires

A large wildfire front spanning 25 kilometers has forced the evacuation of hundreds of people in the Attica region of Greece. The blaze, which began on Thursday, has spread rapidly, impacting areas located approximately 45 kilometers from Athens.

During the overnight hours between Friday and Saturday, the fire caused significant damage in the village of Porto Germeno. Reports indicate that dozens of homes and olive groves have been destroyed as the flames continue to move across the region.
