Palestinian existence under threat, Abbas tells UN, warning of ‘another Nakba’

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas warned the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday that Israeli policies pose a threat to the very life and existence of Palestinians on their homeland, urging the international community to prevent "another Nakba."

Delivering his address via video message for the second consecutive year due to a United States visa ban, Abbas emphasized that Palestinians are on the precipice of a catastrophe if global actors fail to act on their stated intentions to support the Palestinian people.
