The Israeli military launched a military operation in southern Lebanon following an attack by the group Hezbollah. As part of these operations, the Israeli army issued a forced displacement order for the southern Lebanese locality of Mansouri, located within a strip militarily occupied by Israeli forces, and subjected the area to bombardment less than an hour later.

In a separate incident during the hostilities, an Israeli drone strike hit a mosque located in a cemetery in the southern Lebanese town of Tebnine, situated about 19 kilometers to the east. The attack resulted in at least one fatality and left twelve other people injured.
