The Panamanian government is advancing the first phase of the Panama-David-Frontera railway project, which will incorporate a dry port in Capira as a key component. This initial phase involves a broader reconfiguraton of the logistics system surrounding the Panama Canal and will extend geographically up to Divisa.

The project aims to establish robust connectivity between Atlantic and Pacific ports as well as various cargo terminals, integrating the railway into the country's wider transportation and trade infrastructure.
