A sculpture of Lorca will travel through the streets of Madrid on August 17th, the 90th anniversary of his assassination.

The streets of Madrid will host a performance art action titled 'Saca nocturna' on Monday, August 17, marking the 90th anniversary of the assassination of poet Federico García Lorca. During the event, a sculpture of Lorca created by artist Fernando Sánchez Castillo will be transported through various strategic locations in the capital that are linked to the writer's life, work, and memory.

The initiative brings together public art and commemoration to retrace key sites associated with the prominent Spanish poet. The nocturnal procession serves as a cultural tribute to honor Lorca's legacy in the city on the milestone anniversary of his death.
